Recognition For Your Exemplary Achievements

On the 8th September 2009 East Midlands Development Agency (emda) launched the HighGrowth East Midlands Awards 2010. The awards recognise the successes of the region’s businesses on the HighGrowth East Midlands programme therefore all companies on the 2009 Growth Readiness and High Growth programmes are invited to enter free of charge. The awards are also an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your business’ growth and ambition to important stakeholders and prove that your business is exceptional. Winners may also see the profile of the business raised through media exposure.

It’s not too early to start considering your application. Entry is free of charge and the closing date is Monday, 11 January 2010 by 12 noon.

The award categories are:

• Growth Readiness award – recognising outstanding growth potential in businesses on the Growth Readiness programme.

• High Growth award – recognising achievement in creating and sustaining growth by businesses on the High Growth programme.
• HighGrowth East Midlands Business of the Year award – recognising exemplary performance in growth potential or achieving and sustaining high growth.

Applicants are assessed on leadership and business commitment, innovation and demonstration of growth through the programme.  The independent judges consist of a panel of assessors with expertise from a wide range of businesses. 

Date for your diary - the ceremony will be held at The Nottingham Belfry on 11th March 2010 starting with a drinks reception at 6pm followed by a dinner.  All companies that have participated in the HighGrowth East Midlands Programme during 2009 will receive two free invitations and finalists will receive four free invitations.

At the HighGrowth East Midlands Awards 2009 Dynex Semiconductor Limited based in a Lincolnshire emerged as the top winner, scooping up the prestigious HighGrowth East Midlands Business of the Year Award, On winning the coveted Award, Dynex CEO Paul Taylor, stated: “I am very pleased that Dynex has won this award, and to have been involved in the programme, as it recognises all the hard work that our company and our employees have put in.”

Debra Charles, Managing Director of Northamptonshire based Novacroft Limited proclaimed after accepting the 2009 High Growth Award: “I’m absolutely delighted.
